Nail Technician training consists of 250 clock hours (100 theory, 150clinical) to be completed in 8.3 to 12.5 weeks. Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to sit for the Maryland Board of Cosmetology Nail Technician exam.

Employment of manicurists and pedicurists in the state of Maryland is projected to grow 18 percent from 2014 to 2024, faster than the average for all occupations. New types of nail services, such as mini-sessions and mobile manicures and pedicures, may drive employment growth. High turnover and a growing number of nail salons will result in very good job opportunities.

You do not have to be a MD resident to attend. If you are an out of town resident YOU MUST TRAVEL TO MARYLAND TO TAKE YOUR STATE BOARDS. ONCE YOUR STATE BOARDS ARE SUCESSFULLY PASSED THEN YOU MAY TRANSFER LISCENSURE TO YOUR STATE RESIDENCY OCCORDING TO YOUR STATE GUIDELINES.
